Dave Ray - the Senior commentator at Crufts and well known for his cheeky remarks during the agility commentary.

On the way up to Birmingham we stopped at Blenheim Castle. This is a detail of one of the ceilings.

Eng Sh Ch Camrose Time To Return, JW

"Turner" is a son of Ch Camrose Cabus Christopher and the father of my "Tweed". I hope that Tweed matures as well as his dad.

This is a stunning Camrose girl, age 12 - she obviously has her BDX title - "Begging Dog Excellent".

A Visit to Camrose Goldens - it was truly tempting to take this curly boy home......What a great expression.

Best in Show

Sunday was an event filled day. Just look at the crowds - Crufts attracts
25000 dogs over 4 days and it covers 24 acres indoors. No wonder my feet hurt.

They also have the Kennel Club Auction - there was a lot to bid on and some excitement with the bidding.

This photo shows the Pensioners who come to the show each year. They get to sit next to the kennel club dignitaries and judges.

Then the moment begins - the trumpeters arrive - one for each of the groups - to herald this year's picks for Best of Breed.

Here is the line-up for Best in Show. My favorites were the Flat-Coated Retriever and the Tibetan Terrier.

This year the Cup went to the American Champion Tibetan Terrier!

And here it is! THE CRUFT'S CUP for BEST IN SHOW

Judging continued in the afternoon

Here is a head shot of Turner - looks like he is ready to pick-a-pocket

The Vendors at Crufts go to extremes to catch your attention - look at the size of this dog!

This lovely young boy was in the Discover Dogs booth - I believe he is a son of Shardanell's Talk of the Town. He was such a wonderful gentleman - look at all the people trying to pet him at the same time - and he took it in stride with true Golden temperament.

Other favorites

There were quite a number of lovely dogs - here are some of my favorites

Crufts 2007

Crufts 2007 was wonderful. The week started with over 600 Goldens - this puppy was just sensational: he is Stormerick Don Sebastian, and he is not quite one year old. He is by Purbarn Gales N Golden Rain,JW out of Stormerick Santa Katarina.

Turner (Camrose Time To Return, JW) was there as well - Icey is being bred to Turner this spring.

You can see from the judge's hand what a lovely layback he has.
He is maturing very nicely and made a nice showing. Turner is by Ch. Camrose Cabus Christopher out of Camrose Xellent Tearose.

Wendy Andrews took the Dog CC with Catacombe Corblimey,JW. This is such a lovely dog with working ability - it was quite exciting.

Trip to Guisachan

We made a pilgrimage to Guisachan in Scotland, the place where the Golden Retriever Breed originated. Mr. Harrington graciously allowed us to photograph Buzzy by the ruins.
